What Pump Dealers Should Check Before Importing VFDs from China

AUSENIST pump VFD products undergoing documentation and packing checks for export

Before importing pump VFDs from China, a dealer should verify exact electrical compatibility, sample performance, controlled documents, product traceability, packaging and commercial scope. A low unit price is not enough if the quoted configuration cannot be applied, cleared, supported or reordered consistently in the destination market.

What Information Is Required?

  • Motor nameplates for the pump range to be supported.
  • Local input voltage, phase, frequency and expected supply variation.
  • Pump applications, motor types and control requirements.
  • Planned quantities, stock mix and expected reorder pattern.
  • Required manuals, labels, packing lists and country-of-origin documents.
  • Destination-market marking, certification and importer obligations.
  • Incoterm, packing method, warranty scope and spare strategy.
  • Sample inspection and acceptance criteria before the bulk order.

Selection Example

A pump dealer serves both 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase markets. The enquiry should separate these supply groups and provide representative motor nameplates. The dealer then validates samples on the intended pump types, checks labels and manuals against the ordered configuration, and records the approved model, rating, parameters and packaging revision in the purchase specification.

Any proposed voltage conversion or special output must be confirmed for the exact motor and model. It should not be assumed from a general product description.

Common Mistakes

  • Comparing quotations without aligning voltage, current rating and included accessories.
  • Ordering bulk stock before testing representative samples.
  • Assuming one product variant satisfies every destination-market requirement.
  • Accepting labels, manuals or parameter files with no revision control.
  • Leaving freight terms, warranty evidence and replacement responsibility unclear.

AUSENIST Solution

AUSENIST can review pump motor data and intended applications, identify YS620 or YS820 candidates for validation, and clarify the technical and OEM scope of a quotation. Sample acceptance, parameter control, labels, manuals and packaging details can be defined before a bulk-order decision.

The importer must confirm local regulations, duties and mandatory approvals with qualified local advisers. AUSENIST cannot responsibly confirm a model, special voltage or compliance claim until the exact destination and requirements have been reviewed.

Tell us your main pump power range and local voltage. We can recommend a starter stock list and distributor pricing.
