China Water Pump VFD Manufacturer for OEM Pump Companies

An OEM pump company needs more than a VFD with a private label. The drive must be matched to the pump range, motor current, motor type, power supply, hydraulic duty and control concept. The manufacturer should also control approved parameters, product revisions, labels, documentation and sample validation so that the integrated pump package can be produced repeatedly.
What Information Is Required?
An OEM review should begin with a product matrix rather than a single kW value:
- Motor nameplates for the smallest, largest and technically different pumps in the range.
- Input voltage and phase for each target market, including any special-voltage request.
- Pump applications, curves, minimum flow or speed limits and expected operating envelope.
- Annual quantity, batch size, sample plan and number of VFD variants the OEM can manage.
- Control requirements such as constant pressure, manual speed, tank level, dry-run logic, multi-pump control or communication.
- Mechanical concept: cabinet-mounted, wall-mounted or pump-mounted drive, cooling and service access.
- Branding scope: logo, model code, labels, packaging, manual language and default parameters.
- Market-specific compliance and document requirements that must be confirmed for the exact model.
The aim is to create the smallest validated drive platform that covers the real pump family without forcing one configuration onto incompatible motors or duties.
Selection Example
Suppose an OEM sells 2.2 kW, 4 kW and 5.5 kW constant-pressure pump packages at 380 V. Each motor nameplate current must be checked, including motors from alternate suppliers. The OEM and VFD manufacturer then map each pump to a drive current rating, sensor input, default pressure logic and minimum-speed rule.
The 4 kW pump cannot be released merely because a nominal 4 kW drive runs one prototype. Validation should include the highest expected motor current, actual pump loading, pressure response, sleep and wake, sensor loss, low-water behavior and the approved installation environment. Results become the technical baseline for production.
OEM Integration Checks
Product Matrix and Variants
Limit unnecessary variants, but do not merge products whose supply, current, motor type or control requirements differ materially. A clear matrix reduces factory and field errors.
Parameter Governance
Store an approved parameter file or controlled parameter list for each OEM model. Record who can change it, why the revision was made and how production receives the new version.
Mechanical and Electrical Integration
Check enclosure heat, grounding, sensor routing, keypad access, cable glands, motor cable and maintenance clearance. A pump-mounted design needs particular attention to vibration, water exposure and cooling.
Change Control
Define how the supplier reports hardware, firmware, component or terminal changes that may affect the OEM package. The OEM should decide which changes require revalidation.
Common Mistakes
- Treating private labeling as complete OEM engineering.
- Qualifying only one motor while production uses several motor suppliers.
- Selecting by kW and ignoring the highest nameplate current in the pump range.
- Allowing unrecorded parameter changes on the production line.
- Printing performance or certification claims before verifying the exact configuration.
AUSENIST Solution
AUSENIST can work with pump OEMs to map YS620 and YS820 options to motor, pump and control requirements. The scope may include induction or PMSM review, constant-pressure and multi-pump logic, special-voltage feasibility, pump-mounted integration, default-parameter preparation, branded labels and documents, and sample-validation planning.
The OEM remains responsible for the complete pump package, hydraulic limits and destination-market approvals. AUSENIST should not be selected for a configuration outside confirmed product capability or where required validation data cannot be provided. A controlled sample and sign-off process should precede volume production.
